The EO Report: Value Chain, Opportunity and Where India is Headed

We congratulate Anirudh, Tanveer and Rahul and the entire Digantara team on this incredible milestone. Since our seed investment in 2021, the team has demonstrated deep commitment to their core mission β making space more accessible and building a comprehensive space situational awareness & surveillance platform.
About 90% of India's Obvious Geological Potential is unexplored. Only 22% of Indian farmers have crop insurance. And India still depends on foreign satellites for a substantial share of its defense intelligence.
All three of these problems have the same solution: Earth Observation.
We spent months going deep on the EO sector and put together everything we found in one report.
The market sits at $6B today but the industries EO is being embedded into, agriculture, defense, maritime, climate, minerals, represent over $80B in annual addressable spend. The surface has barely been scratched.
For India specifically, the timing is right. Government anchor demand is de-risking early market creation. ISRO has a 119-mission roadmap through 2037. And in August 2025, a startup-led consortium signed India's first PPP contract for a 12-satellite constellation.
The full value chain, from sensors in orbit to decisions on the ground, is open for founders to build on.
