WeRize is building India’s first full stack financial services platform for 500Mn underserved customers in 4,000+ small towns of India that traditional players as well as fintechs are not able to serve. It has used 1 billion+ data points to design customised credit, insurance, and savings products.

Additionally, since small town India customers need high touch sales and after sales, it has created a unique freelancer social distribution technology platform (“Social Shopify of Finance”) where thousands of financially literate freelancers sell WeRize’s products in their social circle.

We decided to invest in WeRize when Vishal and Himanshu had just come out of leadership roles at one of India’s largest digital lending start-up to pursue their entrepreneurial journey. Founder-Market-Fit is at the core of our investing philosophy, and the investment in WeRize for us was on the back of team’s deep insights and exceptional execution capabilities to build the largest financial services platform for small town India.
