We’re excited to share that our portfolio company, Digantara, has raised a $50 million Series B round.

We congratulate Anirudh, Tanveer and Rahul and the entire Digantara team on this incredible milestone. Since our seed investment in 2021, the team has demonstrated deep commitment to their core mission – making space more accessible and building a comprehensive space situational awareness & surveillance platform.

He built one of India's pioneering data centre companies. Then came AI. And the urge to build again.

After the success of Netmagic, when the AI wave arrived, Sharad Sanghi saw an opportunity India couldn't afford to miss. He believed that while the country has made significant strides in data centres and software, critical gaps remained in compute infrastructure and semiconductors.

The only question holding him back: What if his second venture couldn't live up to his first? But his conviction about the opportunity overrode his hesitation. He teamed up again with trusted colleagues from his Netmagic days and set out to build Neysa, with an ambition to create an AI hyperscaler out of India.

For Sharad, India's AI opportunity is not just about consuming intelligence. It's about owning the infrastructure that powers it.

From compute and cloud platforms to making AI affordable at population scale, he believes India has the talent and the will to compete with global giants. Just as India transformed access to mobile data and digital payments, Sharad says India is ready to democratize access to intelligence.

In Episode 06 of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, Vani Kola sits down with Sharad Sanghi to unpack the courage to build again, the trust that has kept his team together for over two decades, and what it will take for India to move from being a consumer of global technology to a creator of its own.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 explores the unseen journey behind building companies, the early decisions, wedges, and experiments that shape businesses long before success feels inevitable.
