There’s something special about Diwali at Kalaari Capital. It’s more than just the lights and sweets – It’s about coming together as the #KalaariFamily to celebrate the spirit of togetherness and shared bonding that brings us closer.
The Art of Giving
When we started planning our Diwali celebrations months ago, we knew we wanted our gifts to tell a story. We meticulously planned to create meaningful tokens of gratitude for our community and team. We partnered with our long-standing portfolio company, Kindlife, to create sustainable gift packages that support emerging brands. Each gift was chosen with purpose – representing our dedication to fostering collaboration within the startup ecosystem while celebrating India’s rich heritage.
What made these gifts special wasn’t just what was inside – it was the thought behind them. Each team member received a personalized box with a heartfelt note. We also gave
everyone the freedom to choose gifts that spoke to them personally – from travel bags for our adventurous souls to specialty coffee sets for our brewing enthusiasts.
Creating Our Festival of Lights
As we decorated the office with lights, diyas, and rangoli, it reminded us that at Kalaari, festivals are not just about celebrations—they’re a reminder to continuously enable people around us to make a meaningful difference.
An Evening to Remember
The evening came alive as our team gathered in traditional attire, representing the diverse perspectives that enrich our community. From spirited Antakshari battles to competitive Tambola sessions led by Priyanka Gill, every moment reflected our collaborative spirit.
The celebration featured live chaat counters, fresh jalebis, and local delicacies – a feast that brought everyone together, much like how we bring together different elements of the startup ecosystem.
More Than Just a Celebration
For me personally, organizing this Diwali at Kalaari was special. After missing these celebrations for five years while abroad, being part of such a warm community celebration felt like coming home. Working closely with our HR head Neha and the entire team showed me that at Kalaari, we don’t just invest in companies – we invest in relationships and traditions that bring people together.
This Diwali wasn’t just about marking a festival; it was about celebrating the bonds that make Kalaari more than just a workplace. And most importantly, it was about creating moments that remind us why we’re here – to grow, innovate, and succeed as one community.
